Road Trip Recap {Part 7–Grand Canyon}

Our friends took us down from Utah into Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon at the North Rim.  Along the way, we stopped to check on their geocache, picnicked in Kaibab National Forest, and climbed the Jacob Lake fire tower (well, the kids did that—I took pictures of flowers and butterflies).  Speaking of Jacob Lake: the inn there has the most amazing cookies!

These are beautiful pictures. We didn't make it to the North Rim when we visited the Grand Canyon. Maybe next time.

Amazing! When we visited the Grand Canyon last, it snowed, hard. We were stuck in the park overnight, but were treated to a beautiful sight when the sun came out the next day. The photo of the four of you is wonderful!

Wonderful shots of the Canyon! I think these are the best I have seen...
I love that green butterfly! And looking at that firetower, I am not sure I would have climbed it, either, but the view would have been something else!!!

What a beautiful place! You kids sure are growing up!
We did a similar trip in 2010 in August. We stayed with friends in Hurricane, Utah. One day we took a trip to the North Rim. I recently did a blog post on part of that trip. I almost met a bloggy friend who is a park ranger at the Grand Canyon--just missed her and couldn't wait around since we were with friends. Here's her blog-- Geogypsy You might enjoy her blog.
I'm going to read your other posts on this trip.
