Road Trip Recap {Part 6 - Zion National Park}
After a long day of driving through the Arizona desert, we finally arrived in Kanab, UT to stay with our friends. We enjoyed a picnic at Zion National Park the next day.
Temple of Sinawava
The Virgin River
The park brochure states that “Zion canyon was formed over centuries of erosion caused by tributaries of the Virgin River which left behind the beautiful eroded canyon walls and monoliths.” Many of the rock formations have Bible-inspired names, such as Great White Throne, The Three Patriarchs, The Altar of Sacrifice, Angel’s Landing, etc. I do not remember the name of the one pictured above.
Weeping Rock is located at the top of a very steep, but mercifully short trail. The waterfalls seep out of the rock and plants have taken advantage of the moist environment on the cliff wall creating beautiful hanging gardens. The trail is worth the effort!

I was there last year. Did most of the hike to Angel's Landing--scary.
We stayed with friends in Utah and even went to the Grand Canyon for one day.
I'm so glad you had such a great trip, Adrienne!
