The Cat and the Squirrel Regarded Each Other
I keep thinking I’m going to do better about keeping up with the blog, and then I realize it’s been a month since my last post.
You who still read this blog may wonder what happened to my promise to post images of the baby robins as they grew. Well, we also have a pair of Red Tailed Hawks nesting nearby. Need I say more? We did have another pair of robins who chose their nesting site much more wisely, and I have some photos of their fledglings following mom (or dad) around the yard. Since their nest was up in the floor joists of our deck, I couldn’t photograph them until they were old enough to leave the nest.
Leila has been extremely entertained this spring by the birds and the squirrels as shown above. The squirrels are quite bold and come up to the window to see her. And though I’m sure they are just curious, I wonder if Leila thinks they are taunting her. Notice how she’s flattening her ears.
Whatever she was thinking, this photo makes me smile. I’m sharing it with the other participants over at Camera Critters. (Hi, Misty Dawn and friends! Remember me?)

I hope you haven't had too much rain in your area...take good care!
Hope you are well.
I just did a post on a baby robin that I was privileged to watch grow. I didn't see it fledge though.
Hope you are doing well, Adrienne. ♥
