Hummingbird Clearwing Moth (Hemaris thysbe)
Often mistaken for a hummingbird because of its flight pattern and hovering behavior, this hummingbird clearwing moth unfurls its proboscis to drink nectar from a butterfly bush.

That is a beautiful photograph! They are fascinating insects and they can be hard to tell from an actual hummingbird at a distance.

When I was in Ohio last week, I told Dad that I hoped to see the hummingbird moth that visits his flowers. Unfortunately, I never saw it. They are so cool, and you got an outstanding photo!
