I ♥ ...Feet?

Welcome to this week's submission to I ♥ Faces. The photography website usually dedicated to faces is taking a break from the norm this week and has asked participants to enter a photo of feet.

I immediately thought of two photos I have in my files, the first one being a photo of my youngest son's feet that I took for his ABC album, and the second of my daughter's feet as she stood in the surf at Canaveral National Seashore.

I ultimately chose the one of my daughter:

crocs in the water

We were there in February when the water was much to cold for swimming, but the kids couldn't resist getting as close as possible to the waves. Of course, if you've ever been to the beach, you know that every so often, a bigger wave rolls in reaching farther up the sand than you anticipate. Oh, the giggles once the suprise of the coldness of the water fades! Before you know it, they're standing in the water getting their shoes and pants completely soaked.

This is one of my favorite memories from that vacation. Our visit there was completely spontaneous and so relaxed--exactly the bliss a vacation should be.

I can't wait to see all the other submissions. I know there's going to be a number of really creative takes on this subject. You can check it out by clicking the button below.

The ocean is so irresistible, no matter the temperature. You have to dip your toes/feet in. Great capture.

Love the splatter of water and sand deposited on the back of the jeans. And that water had to have been nippy in February!

Oh Adrienne! I love your picture, but even more than that I love your words. So pretty. I could totally understand what you were saying about the water being so cold and the giggles exploding. And suddenly they are dripping wet : ) And happy. I just love happy children. Love them to bits!

There's so much in this shot - it's like a poem all on its own. And the palette of colours is beautiful.

I imagine February sea temperatures in Florida are about July sea temperatures in Scotland!

My wife loves to do this still at 40 years old.. grew up visiting the shore and never living near it, so it was always special and reminds her of good times.
I can't think of feet photos without thinking of the beach. It's just the perfect place to snap away! This is so cute...
