Camera Critters - Red-tailed Hawk

I am becoming concerned for the birds that frequent our feeders as I saw another of the hawks perched in a nearby tree--watching. So far the hawks have not attacked any of the diners, but I think that it's definitely what they have in mind. It was the male that came today. I was able to get fairly close to the tree to snap some shots, but when I climbed up into the loft of my kids' playset to get a better angle, he decided that I had gotten too close and flew closer to his roosting tree.

There are lots of other great photos of animals over at Camera Critters.
Thanks to Misty Dawn for hosting such a fun meme..

OH OH! I suspect you are correct! I spotted a hawk in a linden tree near our feeders but it took off when it saw me and my camera.

It's great to see this bird in your garden! I know there are akk kind of hawks in Ohio, That's something we miss here in Holland We have not many birds of prey at least not in our yards.
Adrienne: What a neat capture in the pine tree, you made a wonderful capture.

From the Camera Critters site, I "blind clicked" and ended up here. Huh. Coincidence is God's other name, or so they say.
