Pansies

In Ohio, it is a bit risky to start planting flowers before Memorial Day, but I am never able to wait that long.  Fortunately for me, pansies are fairly hardy and can survive our unpredictable spring weather where the temps sometimes dip close to freezing.

Now, if I could just keep the deer and squirrels away from them…

How nice to see a blog from you. I bought some pansies too, but probably won't get anything else till after mid-May. The way this Spring has been, maybe not till June. I have a bunch of new tulips coming up that I planted last fall. I hope the deer don't find them, or I won't be seeing them bloom.

Blessings to you and our family!!

Beautiful! Pansies give me hope for summer to come. My crazy neighbor planted other flowers this week... I hope they make it for her!

We had snow two days ago...planting will wait here. Last year we had deer on our deck eating the patio flowers...I wish they weren't so hungry all the time. Pansies are one of my favorite annuals, their faces always look so happy! Hope you are doing well!
That's interesting that the deer and squirrels like them.
I have pansies planted in pots by my front door. They're so cheerful!
