Robins’ Eggs

eggs robins nest
I think that the color of robins’ eggs is one of the most beautiful shades of blue there is.
A mama and papa robin built a nest in a shrub just outside our front door.  We have enjoyed spying on the eggs whenever the mama bird leaves the nest.  The babies began hatching this morning, so we’ll be using the side door as much as possible so that we don’t disturb them.

You are so lucky! I would love to be able to spy on a birds nest! That must be so much fun.

We are watching the birds return. They aren't all back yet.

Keep posting photos of the hatching and birdlings! :)

What a beautiful photo, Adrienne. I agree, that blue is gorgeous. Seems weird that robin's eggs are blue but there isn't blue on the bird at all!
That's neat, Adrienne, that the Robin's are nesting so close to you... I have so many Robins around --but am not sure where they are nesting. I need to start checking our shrubs...

YES---the eggs are such a gorgeous color. Keep us posted.
Hugs,
Betsy

Love it, Adrienne! We don't have robins down here, at least not very often. Their eggs are one of my favorite colors, too! Thanks so much for sharing!
beautiful eggs!
Once a bird made a nest in a glass bowl that we kept in a cupboard in our garage. Not only did we have to keep the cupboard door ajar, we had to leave the garage door open as well. The nest was at eye level and so cool to watch.
What a lovely photo!!!!
