Up the Hill

Yesterday, our church sponsored a sledding activity at a local park.  Our kids all get along so well so it always makes for a really nice time whenever they can play together.  This particular hill isn’t very long, but it’s steep.  I lost track of how many times they went down and back up.  Pink cheeks and all, the cold just doesn’t seem to matter when you are having fun.

We are white slush as of today. I took photos of my daughter shoveling the slush before it freezes. I am not entering the I Heart Faces contest this week because I have no photo that is contest worthy.

This is adorable - love them pink cheeks!

Did you go down the hill at all?
Your pictures are so good - I can feel the cold from here!
(I can feel the cold from here, anyway- but you captured the joy of sledding with your friends!)
Hi Adrienne, What a cute picture... Looks like the kids are having a good time. We have had quite a bit of snow up here also this winter... The rain we had today finally melted the remaining snow.

How are you doing? I think about you often and pray for you and your family.
Hugs,
Betsy

That looks like so much fun! We are dealing with yucky ice more than snow right now.

Heidi, I went up and down the hill several times, on my own two feet, that is. I wasn't taking any chances on wiping out with the camera around my neck. (Some might say I took the good camera on purpose. --And they'd be right!) :)

Wonderful! I love the smiles...
You know WE had biiiiig winter here in Georgia last week. I don't think I've ever seen snow stay around for over a week, but this time it did. Today, it rained, and I think it finally washed the the last of the soiled snow away. But who knows what next week might bring?

Well to be quite honest, we don't have winter down here. I do, however, remember sled riding as a kid.

We would go to Firestone Park most of the times and, if you know that hill, it was a monster!!! I would usually go down the hill once then look back up it and say, "Nope. I'll just stay here at the bottom and play in the snow." It was torture walking up that thing!

Lovin' the green and orange colors in the snow! Looks like there was lots of fun to be had.

Super capture my friend! They do look like they are having loads of fun. We got a dusting of snow on Monday night/Tuesday morning - but today it is all gone. Hurray!

Oh, that looked like fun. We used to enjoy tobaggoning. Let's see now, that was probably close to 50 years ago...It still brings back fun memories.

Our pretty snow got wet last night and things around here got pretty icy. Lots of closed schools. But I think more snow is on the way.

I remember fun days like that and they sure look like they are having a blast sledding. At that age you do not even feel the cold while playing in the snow. Now I shiver just looking at it. LOL!

I sort of gave up on sledding a few years ago...fun going down, but the next few days I was stiff as a board! I just love the colored snow gear against the white background. I think we all need a bit of color these days! I still keep you and your family in my prayers. Oh, I have a Canon 60mm lens. I love it for details and portraits too, but usually keep a zoom on my camera for grabbing the shots a fixed lens would miss.

Long way up ... short way down and lots of happy faces.
Mainly grey and wet with very brief periods of sunshine over here. FAB.

HAHAHAHA! Let's leave our cameras at home, then sled and laugh down that hill and have pink cheeks too!

Great photo! Looks like a fun day :)
It's a great photo!
Here, today, right now, the ground is not completely covered with snow. But it's been cold, and snowing, and ice storming recently.
When I was a kid, I'd go out sledding for hours, wearing my (non-insulated) red boots. My feet would get frozen! But sledding was so much fun!
That photo is a work of art! I love the colors, sizes and shapes. It looks like it could be in a magazine.
Enjoy your winter days! Lovely blog you have! Keep sharing wonderful stuff with us! It was pleasure reading you! Cheers!
