Becky, I'm not sure what it is. I found it outside the stables at our local YMCA campground. It's some sort of farm implement designed to be pulled by a horse, but that's as much as I can figure out.
Hi there, Happy Mother's Day to you!!!! I had a wonderful day --spending it with my 'baby' --who is almost 39 now!!!!! Yipes!!!! ha

We had a fabulous beach trip--but it's nice to be home. I'll post a blog in the morning.

Love that picture.... Yes, your title (Retired) looks correct... ha

Hugs,
Betsy

Oh, I love to see old items like this! And you chose a perfect caption for it!!
I hope you had a Wonderful Mother's Day!

These old farm implements are so basic compared to today's versions, yet they got the job done. Just think of the air conditioned/heated (the latter in Scotland!) cabs of tractors and various machines today, and picture the farmer on this seat exposed to the elements.

I will bet there is a little bounce in that seat yet....
Adrienne: That was a neat capture for sure.

That's right where I'd want to retire... in the middle of the woods :-)

Great shot. In a few years that will have vanished under the plants.

That's a terrific find! I love the color contrasts. You just wouldn't expect to find such a machine in the midst of the beautiful forest! Thanks for stopping by at my SS. Enjoy the weekend.

Nope, that has not moved in a day or three!!! Lovely shot of it, though!

You can about reach out and touch it!!! I have sooo much to learn. Wish you could come camping with us and help me with all the photography I intend to do while there. Be Ware children... Momma's on a mission and no one is safe... hehehehe
