Scenic Sunday

This is my first time posting for Scenic Sunday, a photography meme of, well, scenery. :)  We came upon this woodland creek during Thursday’s hike at Munroe Falls Metropark.

Great photo, Adrienne! I have to add you to my blog roll so I can see when you update. I thought I had you on it but realized tonight that I didn't. Shame on me....

Adrienne: That is a neat photo, you were really near with to my area. Munroe Falls is adjacent to Kent.

Beautiful...and wet! I like it... It looks like a wonderful creek bed to walk looking for salamanders.

That looks so enticing, with the dappled sun coming through the leaves.

Beautiful pictures as usual. I really do enjoy the view from your camera!

About the critter in my post - my husband calls him a woodchuck - but it is the same thing as a groundhog. I guess using the first name made it easier for them to shoot them on the farm they grew up on - If they called them groundhogs - they may have had an issue with killing a 'puxatauny phil' (sorry about the spelling!)

Now there's a great hydrology photo: a shaded stretch of rocky stream bottom. Looks sort of cold, or at least ground water fed.
I like that place. It looks peaceful.
