Camera Critters – Ring-billed Gull

Another photo from Presque Isle on Lake Erie:  This gull was watching some fishermen very intently on the North Pier.  Perhaps he was hoping they would share their catch.  I love his grey and white feathers and those pale green legs.

I wouldn't have noticed the green legs if you hadn't pointed them out. I don't know that I'd want green legs. :)

A very nice photo of a bird not that easy to photograph. Both black birds and white ones usually have problems areas in their feather detail. You seem to have got that worked out.

Adrienne, another beautiful picture. You can really see where it got its name. When I was a child we always went every summer with grandpa to Lake Erie at Marblehead and went fishing. We caught stringers full of them to freeze for the winter. I have wonderful memories of staying around Lake Erie.
