Our tulip poplar tree is loaded with these. I am glad for the height of this tree, but I wish the blossoms were a little lower. I want to be able to see down inside one. (My tree-climbing days are long past.)
Don't be a fuddy-duddy Adrienne...climb the tree! (And make sure that someone takes a photo of you while you're doing it. Hee!) Now that would be an awesome photo!
That's a good question, Carol. They are so high up, that I really don't know. I have petunias planted in the bed underneath, so when I'm outside, that's what I smell.
Angie and Shelley: The lowest branches are still about 10 feet above our second story deck. I don't even think that the extension ladder would reach. (My husband would say, "See, we really DO need one of those Little Giant ladders!" Hahaha
Beautiful photo! I also love your bluejay photo's. I have yet to get a bluejay photo. I have seen a couple, but by the time I am ready to take a picture they are too far out of range....I NEED a better zoom lens!!!

Hope you are having a great day.

Your blossoms are lovely. Even if they are high up!
