Camera Critters - Canada Goose
Like most suburban housing developments, ours has a couple retention ponds designed to handle rainwater run-off from the neighborhood. We have been watching a couple pairs of Canada geese that have decided to nest in or next to the two ponds closest to us.
For two weeks now, I've seen only glimpses of the goslings waddling along behind or between their parents. However, the homeowners association decided to postpone any mowing near these areas until the little ones are grown. I think that is a wonderful decision for the geese, and I'm happy to be a part of such a conscientious neighborhood. But it does make photography of the goslings nearly impossible.
Well, I decided to at least get a shot of the parents. I don't think you can tell if this is the mom or dad without getting too personal. :)
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. And stop by Camera Critters for more great animal pics.
